Hello!

2025 started on the quiet side in this portfolio.

I started the year with 5 older trades, placed 3 new trades, and had a total of 4 trades close for a profit this month, leaving 4 trades still open.

For the update this week:

  1. $323 profit across 4 trades in January

I was a little more cautious in this portfolio in January, mostly because the market just went up and I don't like placing new trades near market highs.

That said I did manage to open 3 new trades, and take off 4 trades for a profit.

With January done, here's the running total of realized profits since the course's inception:

  • Year One (Sep 2022 - Aug 2023) - $3,422

  • Year Two (Sep 2023 - Aug 2024) - $6,292

  • Sep 2024 - $1,373

  • Oct 2024 - $807

  • Nov 2024 - $793

  • Dec 2024 - $489

  • Jan 2025 - $373

This brings the total for the last 29 months to a realized profit of $13,549 or a running monthly average of $467.

If you're familiar with options and want to follow along the trade updates, you can sign up for my Bread Crumb subscription which is priced at $49/month.

i.e. on average, each month you would pay $49 and make $467, or 9.5x the subscription fee.

Every trade I share is from my real portfolio, which means if the trade isn't making money, I'm not making money either.

Do note none of these are recommendations - I'm just sharing trade updates within my own portfolio which may or may not be right for you.

Closing words & useful links

This week started and ended with jitters around tariffs - I get a feeling this undercurrent of uncertainty is going to be with the market for a while.

At times like these I try to wait for only the best opportunities before making a trade. It's better to be patient and make 2 winning trades than impatient and have 2 winners and 2 losers.

Have a good weekend!
